We must build more housing of all types in every neighborhood, streamline development to speed up both affordable and market-rate projects, and protect tenants with balanced policies that also support “mom-and-pop” landlords. 

We have to bring dignity to encampments by funding health and safety services, overhaul our homelessness response for better results, and expand pathways to homeownership so more Oaklanders can build wealth and stability.
